UNKODER
 
.. about UNKODER ...
Unkoder is one of the major associations of freight forwarders in Turkey. Unkoder is playing very important  role in Turkish forwarders'  life in protecting the rights against government's monopoly regulations.

It is the first in Turkey that the members of UNKODER have protested the MINISTRY of TRANSPORTATION in front of their central building in ANKARA,  started daily boycotts  with trucks nearby frontiers..

UNKODER has been represented by important crowds in all meetings organized by CHAMBERS ,  UNIVERSITIES and cried for their legal working rights against all defenders of monopoly.

Unkoder has many claims in the High Court for the cancellation of the imposed  LAW and REGULATION...
 
.. Why we are against the new LAW and REGULATION ? ...
The major reasons are ;
  1. Ministry is holding the whole management and investment decisions of private companies under his control,
  2. Forwarders work according to TRADE LAWS in all world but Transport Minstry wants to control all activities of forwarders by this Regulation and prevents the  freight brokers from issuing their freight invoices,
  3. It brings restrictions to agency agreements,
  4. By huge certificate fees (for a forwarder certificate  called R2 Ministry wants forwarders to pay him Euro 120.000 only for a 5 years period) By this, Ministry forces the small and midium sized companies to  leave the sector... The target of the regulation is to create a monopol sector under control of the big capital owners.
  5. It encourages the selling of more trucks to the sector without any economical claim,

We can summarize the Regulation in the following words:

'' Ministry of Transportation is the biggest SHARE HOLDER and WINNER of the sector with no capital ..''
 
.. to FIATA ...
We are thankful to FIATA for their struggle in cancellation of  the said Regularity. But we want to draw their attetion to a very important point.

FIATA has two members from Turkey; UND and UTIKAD... The first member UND is not representing forwarders because they are an association of the carriers (truck owners).  Hence they are following a policy against the forwarders and they force the Ministry to impose very heavy conditions on forwarders. They dislike forwarders.. Their target is similar with the Ministry.

We think that FIATA also aware of this reality. Since FIATA is a foundation of FORWARDERS, we are wondering how UND is being accepted as a member ? We believe that the current situation of UND is contrary to the soul of  FIATA...
 
.. to European Union ...
For long years we have waited for EU membership. We believed that our transport sector's working conditions  would be much better when EU standards were accepted.

Unfortunately we are disappointed..

Our Ministry made a new LAW with EU mask, but we know the contents of the LAW is not inforce in any EU country.  We see that EU is silent against this monopoly regularity...

Now small and midium sized companies in Turkey are under stress of unemployment.. I think this stress is enough to explain the reason of high opposition to EU membership.
 
.. When we win, you will also win ...
  Our colleagues in the World have to know that they will also be the winners of  future if we protect our rights  in TURKEY.. Otherwise they will be the final losers against the MONOPOLY..
